SikTh - Death Of A Dead Day

I only recently discovered this band and to my dismay they are broken up. I fell in love with this album the moment I heard it and I can't stop enjoying it now. To it's core I'd consider it Progressive Math Metal, but they're so bouncy in exparimenting that you can't quite put a thumb down on it. They can be extremely reminiscent of bands like Between The Buried & Me and Look What I did...so in other words...very hooky in some places and very off the walls in others. I highly suggest you check this out...if the first song doesn't catch you then you need to broaden your horizons something fierce because I think this album is just beautiful and perfect!

Adagio - Discography

Probably one of my absolute favourite bands. From their technical and symphonics to their downright heavy and somewhat jazzyness. I bring to you their full set of albums. One finest bands in the Progressive/Symphonic Metal genre.

Dark Suns - Existence

Here's an awesome Progressive Metal band from Germany. They have some really interesting lyrics and some super dynamic music, but nothing on the extreme side. A little on the mellow side, but really intriguing stuff nontheless. I suggest it!

The Minus Tide - Anakuklosis

Here's something a little different and weird. This is certainly not your average sludge band. Fan's of Mastodon and The Ocean should find this an interesting listen. That is, if you can get past that aggrovating vocals. This is one of the coolest album covers of all time.

Crest Of Darkness - The Ogress

This is a real treat. An early Crest album that really shows that black metal isn't all blast beat and mediocre. This album is extremely hard to find and I really suggest it. The two songs the will catch your attention are "Two Thousand Years" and "Reference". Two Thousand Years will remind and hark listeners back to the album The Key by Nocturnus. It's a little older, but it's way better then Crest Of Darkness' later albums.

Black Comedy - Instigator

Black Comedy is a really interesting band who make cyber death metal. They're one of the more interesting metal bands out there. A very good try for a first album.
